Italian traditional foods~!!

 Lieto di vederla(Nice to meet You)~
 
 In this blog, I will introduce Italian traditional foods. Italian foods are popular because there are a variety of food ingredients. Italy's Mediterranean climate and fertile land are good conditions for food ingredient's growth. Also, herb and spice are rich and animal husbandry and fishery is active. As a result, Italia has the world's best food culture and high pride and self-esteem. Italian has four food cultures. First, stand out the regional discrimination properties. Second, food ingredients are rich. Third, meat dishes are developed. Fourth, Italian is a gourmand.
 
Now, let's go toward Italian traditional foods~


1) Prosciutto(프로슈토)
 'Prosciutto' means 'ham' in Italia, it is a ham that aged natural. Prosciutto developed in north central region and mainly used appetizer, salad and pasta. Kinds of prosciutto are prosciutto crutto, prosciutto cotto, codegino and salrumi.

2) Lasagne(라자냐)
 'Lasagne' is savory and chewy Italian pasta dish. For sauce and cheese in pasta. It conveyed from northen Italy and derived from Greek, 'λάσανα'. λάσανα means tool to fix a pot and trivet. And after, lasagne has come to mean cooking pot in Italy.

3) Foccaccia(포카치아)
 'Foccaccia' is the world's famous Italian tradition bread. Foccaccia  was made even before the invention of the oven and one of the oldest bread in Italy. It is made by simple ingredients, for example, flour, water, salt and if the fire, can eat bake anywhere. Foccaccia has name 'oven bread' because it is baked in oven.

4) Zampone(잠뽀네)
 'Zampone' is similar to Korea's hocks Italian taditional food. Zampone is eaten in New Year's Eve, so can eat only once a year. Zampone is eaten with bean and sausage and Italian believes that zampone brings good luck.


 
 When people heard Italian food, they recall pizza, spagetti and pasta. But Italian foods are not only pizza, spagetti and pasta. Prosciutto, lasagne, poccaccia and zampone were food I have seen and heard first. And as for the investigation of Italian food, I realize that Italian food as much as the art is the world's best. I want all people who visited this blog, necessarily eat Italian traditional foods^^

French traditional foods~!!

 Enchanté de faire votre connaissance(Nice to meet you)~

 In this blog, you can see French traditional foods. France is located between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. French climate is warm and agriculture, livestock products, marine products are rich, so food's ingredients are various. There are many characteristics of French foods. First, French foods are conveyed from Italy. Second, taste, creativity and visual effects  are important. Third, food ingredients and recipes are developed. Fourth, meal time and order are determined. Fifth, wine and spice and sauce play an important role.

From now on, let's know referred to as the world's best food, French traditional food!

1) Foie gras(푸아그라)
 'Foie gras' is a haute cuisin, made of goose liver. Foie gras is well known for Korea, because it is one of the world's three foods. It is treated precious among the food and proud of its fancy taste. Foie gras means fat liver in France. It is expensive, so eat maninly on public holidays and fat content is very high, so has rich and mellow taste.
 
 
2) Rataouille(라타뚜이)
 'Rataoullie' is traditional vegetable stew food and popular dish in Provence in France. This food is original food of poor farmers and made of fresh seasonal vegetables. Rataouille is made by eggplant, tomato, bell pepper and pumpkin and herb. It is eaten mainly as a side dish and simple lunch.


3) Crepe(크레페)
 'Crepe' means slice pancake in France and light and thin food like paper. There are two kinds of crepe. One is simple crepe made by flour and another is sweet crepe. Crepe is used salty and sweet food. Salty crepe is made from various meats and cheese and vegetables. To eat dessert crepe, need jam and fruits.
 

 
There are a lot of French traditional foods. For example, 'coq au vin' means cock in wine in France and 'bouillabaisse', universal French seafood. Also, 'chateau briand', steak dish and 'escargot' is snail dish. French traditional foods show that symbol of the French flag. The blue of the flag of France means that freedom and the white of the flag of France means that equality and the red of the flag of France means that love for all people. French traditional foods are free and equal and philantropic.

Russian traditional foods~!!

 Очень приятно(Nice to meet you)~ 

 In this blog, we can see Russian traditional foods. Russia has world's 1st area and very cold and long winter and cool and short summer. So, foods are generally salty and sweety and incentive. Also, Russian food culture is influenced to Slav traditional food culture and West Europe and Mongolia and Central Asia and Kavkaz region, so extremley complex and multinational.

From now on, let's know Russian traditional foods that can feel various culture's taste~


1) Borscht(보르쉬)



 'Borscht' is a Russian traditional soup that made by broth, potato, carrot, onion and put out a color in the red radish. Depending on the orientation, make a broth using favorite meat. Russian enjoy the borscht in winter and summer. And necessarily add smetana, Russian traditional sauce.


2) Black Bread(흑빵)


 'Black Bread' is made by rye that Russians main food's ingredient. Rye is grow well in cold and barren land and black bread has rich nutrients, so Russians love black bread. Russia's black bread has more chewy and acidity than other Europe's bread.


3) Shasilik(샤실릭)


 'Shasilik' is a famous spit-roasting food in Israel, former Soviet Union, Iran, Mongolia and Central Europe and it is a kind of kebab. Shasilik uses lamb meat originally, but also uses beef and goat meat depending on the region and religion.


4) Vodka(보드카)


 'Vodka' is colorless and odorless, but 40degrees strong alcohol. There are over  40   species of vodka and it makes Russians warm during the cold winter. Russians drink vodka with thick raw onion or lump of oil.


Through the Russian traditional foods, we can feel taste of various cultures. Because Slav cultre and West Europe, Mongolia culture and food culture of Central Asia is influence to Russia's food. Also, Russian traditional foods show that symbol of the Russia flag. The white of the flag of Russia means that nobility, truth, freedom and independence and the blue of the flag of Russia means that honesty, dedication and loyalty. The red of the flag of Russia means that courage, love and self-sacrifice. In other words, Russian traditional foods have taste of nobility and honesty and give the courage to survive the cold winter.

Chinese traditional foods~!!

 
 认识你很高兴(Nice to meet you)~

 China is the nearest country to Korea. Of course, Japan is also near to Korea, but there is sea between Japan and Korea. While, China and Korea is attached. Chinese food culture is similar to Korean food culture because both use chopsticks and spoon and usually eat rice. However, China which proud of their world's fourth largest area and 1.3billion people has diverse and colorful foods. There is a saying "Food in China". In other words, China has rich food ingredients and experiences of thousands. As a result, China has formed a unique food culture early. The Chinese emphasis on dignity, but emphasis on practical characteristic in 'eating'.

The Chinese think that eating is important, so there are a variety of proper foods. And when cook, they pursue taste, color, flavor and beauty. As eating, they improve their health and life's happy.

Now, let's take a look at Chinese traditional foods~


1) Beijing Duck(베이징 덕)
 'Beijing Duck' is a traditional food in Beijing, China's capital. It is a smoked food which stick to the bar between duck's flesh and skin and soak sweet sauce. Originally, Beijing Duck is a popular food in Nanjing. By the way, Juwonjang who founded the Ming Dynasty marveled at the taste of Beijing Duck, so it became known. Beijing Duck's crispy skin and savory flavor is good.


2) Hwogwo(훠궈)
  'Hwogwo' is a Chinese shabu-shabu and in the west, it called hot pot. There are a variety of dishes, depending on the ingredients and regions, but sauce is usually used 'majang', peanut sauce. Hwogwo broth's ingredients are pig's bone and cow's bone and marine products and so on. And eat sliced sheep meat and cow meat and vegetable soaked in hot broth. Sichuan province's Marahwogow is popular because it has spice taste.


 

3) Dimsum(딤섬)
 'Dimsum' is a Chinese dumpling and created 3 thousands ago in Guangong province and started to eat. In China, it is the middle of a meal to eat and in Honkong, it eat as appetizer and in Korea, eat it for dessert. Dimsum is a stodge, so should eat with tea and eat plain taste first and eat sweet taste last. Dimsum has a several names, depending on the shape and recipe.
 

China has a variety of traditional foods. China has 1.3billion people and a lot of nations, so Chinese foods are diverse and coloful. But now, evaluation of Chinese food is not good because eat monkey's bone and use fake egg and state of the hygiene and ingredients is unsafe. However, the right Chinese traditional foods have admirable level. A variety of ingredients that are produced in wide areas and many sauces and unique recipes shows that "Food in China". Chinese traditional foods have worth eating in one day.

Japanese traditional foods~!!

 So far, we learned Korean traditional bakeries and restaurants and kind restaurants and traditional foods and beverage. To the people of each country, their culture and tradition and food is most excellent and important. But we can't live always enjoy themselves. While enjoy other country's culture and tradition and food, we can turn our eyes to the wider world and gain a lot of experiences and knowledges. So from this blog, we will learn other coutry's traditional foods. Are you ready?

 In this blog, we will learn neighboring country of Korea, Japanese traditional foods. Development of the fish dishes in Japan, because it is island nation and Japanese rice and soup and fry dishes are also popular.    


1) Sashimi
 "Sashimi" is representative food in Japan and it is known raw fish. There are a variety of sashimi dishes in Japan because developed from an early age how to eat fish. There are a lot of ingredients and how to cut the fish, so 'sashimi culture' had been made. There are many sashimi recipes, for example, cutting at an angle to the fish, hikidscuri and cutting flesh thick fish, kadozucuri, cutting white fish, konbu cimezucuri, cutting slightly ripen fish, yubizucuri and removing the fat of the fish, arai. 
 
 
2) Natto
 "Natto" is fermented soybean Japanese tradition food. Particularly, natto is eaten breakfast and Japaense essential source of nutrition because is has abundant protein. It has distinctive flavor and taste and high visocity and growing long nature, so it can be eaten if tamed it. Especially, in the easten part of the Kanto region to eat a lot. Natto is similar to Korea's cheonggukjang. Nattio is popular because it is anti-aging and prevent of cancer and diabetes. Also, it is prevent of cardiovascular disesases and effective on a diet. But there are many people who dislike natto, because it has a stinking smell.
 
 
3) Okonomiyaki
 "Okonomiyaki" is a popular food like Korea's bindaetteok and pancake and America's pizza. Okonomiyaki's name is made Okonomi: faviorite things + Yaki: bake. Namely, it is a dish that select the ingredients to suitable our taste and cooked in the steel plate. But it is mainly made by dough with cabbage, egg, flour and three pork belly of outside. After that, eat sprinkle bonito and unique source and mayonnaise. Okonomiyaki is popular in throughout Japan but eat in Osaka in particular.
 
 
 
Through the Japanese traditional foods, learned Japan and Korea's food culture is very similar. Natto is similar to Korea's cheonggukjang because they have stingky smell and high viscocity and good for our health. Okonomiyaki is similar to Korea's bindaetteok and pancake because they are steel plate foods. And could feel Japan also have self-respect about their history and tradition.

Let me introduce Korean traditional beverage~!!

 Recently, the most popular beverage in Korea is coffee. Many cafes are spring up and there is no town and region which have no cafe. Why do people drink coffee? The most big reason is image for coffee. If walking the street while drink coffee, we illusion that we are New Yoker. And many people drink coffee, so those who did not drink coffee depending those who do drink cofee. Also, there are many types of coffee and made a way of drinking coffee toothsomely, for example, put on the cream and chocolate syrup in the coffee. As a result, more and more people want coffee. But there is a harmful substance called caffeine in coffee. Therefore, Korean have to drink traditional beverage not coffee. It is made from grains and fruits, so we can feel it is good for our health and taste also excellent.

Now, let's go meet Korean traditional beverage~


1) Sikhye(식혜)

  'Sikhye' is made from brew the powered malt in water and rice. It is Korean traditional beverage has excellent sweet taste and ginger's scent. Sikhye's ingredient rice has a sweet taste and warm property. So it is appropriate birthday, festival and party because treat indigestion, lack of appetite, vomit and diarrhea. Also, sikhye is made of can, so we can find sikhye in vending machine easily. Of course, taste and nutrition is low than hommade, but if you miss sikhye, vending machine's sikhye is not bad.


2) Sujeonggwa(수정과)
 
 'Sujeonggwa' is made from ginger, cinnamon boiled water and sugar and dried persimmon and pine nut. It has dried persimmon's sweet taste and ginger's spicy taste, so has a distinctive flavor. Its name derived from 'cookies soaked in water' and certainly made in Lunar New Year's Day with sikhye. Sujeonggwa's ingredient ginger and cinnamon has warm property, so make strong lung and stomach. And they are promotes digestion and relieve stomachach and vomit symptom.


3) Omija Tea(오미자 차)
 
 'Omija Tea' is Korea Chinese medicine tea made from dried omija and water and honey and sugar. There are two ways of drinking tea. First, put the omija in boiled water and when water spring up from the omija, drink. Second, put omija power in sugar water and drink. Omija has five tastes, for example, a sweet taste,a sour taste, a bitter taste, a spicy taste, and a salty taste. Omija tea protects the lung's energy and treat the cough and vocal nodule.
 
 
 
In addition, there are Korean traditional beverage, for example, jujube tea, cinnamon tea, fruit salad, and so on. Tradition beverage is made taking into account the Korea's climate, tradition and Korean constitution, personalities. So if drink tradition beverage, it makes our body is warm and improve our healthy. Therefore, we should not drink only coffee, coke, soda and alcohal. Instead, we by drinking tradition beverage likes Sikhye, Sujeonggwa and Omija Tea should improve our healthy and mental satisfaction.

Korea's traditional foods!!



Let me introduce Korea's traditional foods~


 
 
 As every country has their foods, Korea also has their traditional foods. Korea's traditional foods are excellent as compared to other countries. Korea's traditional foods have a variety of nutrients, excellent taste and our mother's wisdom. Also, our eyes and mind captured to fancy decoration and form.
 
 There are many kinds of Korea's traditional foods, for example, kimchi, bibimbap, tteokguk and bulgogi, samgyetang, patjuk etc...
 
 In this post, let's know 'A brass chaping dish', 'Platter of nine delicacies', and 'Tangpyeongchae'. Because these foods are proud of their fancy form and have excellent taste, nutrients.
 
 
1) A brass chaping dish(신선로)
 
 

 'A brass chaping dish' is royal court food and its name was built for this picture's bowl is a brass chaping dish. Why named a brass chaping dish is from this food's elegance likes god. A brass chaping dish is place the charcoal in the middle of bowl and place the meats, vegetables, seafoods on the perimeter. Finally, pour the soup and eat boiled on the spot. It needs a variety of ingredients and has many time to cook. In the past, it was able to eat only king and rich. In modern time, a brass chaping dish is gourmet meal. 
 
 
 
2) Platter of nine delicacies(구절판)

A brass chaping dish, Platter of nine delicacies, Tangpyeongchae and all of Korea's traditional foods have a lot of effort and passion in all areas. Around us, there are many other country's foods and fast food. But our traditional foods have ancestor's spirit and wisdom, so we have to know that our traditional foods are real food for us.
